Giving Back

“Giving back” and “OHANA” are Schertz Pet Manors mantra.  Schertz,Texas is our hometown and community in which we proudly serve.  A portion of all our profits is given back to the local communities each year.

  • Zeus Refuge Animal Rescue Non-Profit
    • A non-breed discrimination rescue whose goal is to help families provide adequate medical care and shelter. They pull from local shelters and help find loving forever homes for cats and dogs.  Animals are our passion and 2022 we became a proud lifetime sponsor to Zeus’ Refuge Animal Rescue nonprofit.  To Learn more, reach out to zeusrefugeanimalrescue@gmail.com / Facebook:  Zeus Refuge Animal Rescue
  • Operation Battle Buddies
    • In 2020 we committed for 7months to be puppy fosters.  We temporarily stepped in as “said handler” with Justice so that she could learn the core fundamental obedience training required for service dogs.  Once ready Justice traveled to Florida with her Vietnam Veteran handler to earn Service Dog Title. It was a humbling honor to support our veterans in this way.                                   To Learn more, check out OPERATION BATTLE BUDDIES and Arfordable Dog Training.

  • Hurricane Harvey
      • In 2017, Texas was hit with one of the costliest tropical cyclones on record, inflicting $125 billion in damage to the Lone Star State. Born and raised in Texas, Schertz Pet Manor wanted to do our part to help rebuild lives. As a result, Schertz Pet Manor made donations of pet food, pet supplies, bug spray, buckets, tools, cleaning supplies, furniture, gift cards, towels, gloves, masks, bottled water and pre-packaged food to the flood victims of Harvey.  #TEXASSTRONG
  • Feeding Homeless Pets
      • In 2013, Belle Schertz Pet Manors resident canine, was adopted from Petersburg Animal Care and Control in Petersburg, VA. While having our business in Petersburg, it had been our goal to help feed our homeless pets in the local shelters. As a result, we donated over $5,000 worth of food and supplies each year in business there.
  • American Staffordshire Terrier “pit bull” Education
      • In October each year schools around Virginia bring pit bull awareness into the classrooms.  The Pet Manor has proudly worked with local 501c rescues to help educate our young students about our pit bulls.  In the picture below, Belle attended Copeland Patrick Elementary in Colonial Heights, VA.
